Process

How a Non-DOT employment evaluation proceeds

Because Non-DOT cases are employer-directed, the process, documentation, and timing may be shaped by the employer's own policy rather than federal rules.

  1. 1

    Confirm the employer's requirement

Start from the referral letter, company policy, or written request your employer provided so the scope is clear.

  2. 2

Contact us to confirm scope and fee

Non-DOT employment evaluations are employer-directed, so requirements, documentation, and fees are confirmed before booking.

  3. 3

    Book your appointment

Choose an available date and time once the scope has been confirmed in writing.

  4. 4

Complete secure intake and upload documents

Intake, consent, and supporting documents are completed securely in the client portal.

  5. 5

    Attend the virtual evaluation

The appointment is completed by video from a private location with a stable internet connection.

  6. 6

Receive documentation and written next steps

Written recommendations or a report are prepared where applicable and released only with your written authorization.

Standard within 48 hours — expedited within 24 hours

Standard service: initial evaluation processing within 48 hours after the completed appointment and receipt of all required documents. Expedited service: priority evaluation processing within 24 hours after the completed appointment and receipt of all required documents.

Turnaround begins after the scheduled evaluation and receipt of all required information and documents. Timing may also depend on service requirements and third-party information.

Expedited service is available for time-sensitive deadlines, subject to confirmation.

Report delivery

How Your Report Is Delivered

The secure client portal handles intake, forms, uploads, messaging, and telehealth. Final reports are delivered separately to authorized recipients.

Sessions Health

Secure Report Delivery

Authorized reports and documentation are securely delivered as PDF files to the appropriate employer, Designated Employer Representative (DER), Third-Party Administrator (TPA), defense attorney, court, or other approved requesting party. For DOT SAP cases, the dates of the initial and follow-up evaluations will be logged in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, as applicable.

Court-related reports

Court evaluation reports may be securely delivered as PDF documents to the authorized defense attorney, court, or other approved requesting party.

Authorization required

Reports and records are released only with valid written authorization, or where release is required or permitted by applicable law and regulation. Documentation is never sent to a party without authorization.

Important distinctions

What a Non-DOT evaluation is — and is not
