Process
The Return-to-Duty process, step by step
Recommendations are individualized and made only after your evaluation. We cannot promise a specific outcome, recommendation, or completion date.
- 1
Initial SAP evaluation
A structured virtual appointment reviews your situation and the referral information available, so a professional recommendation can be prepared.
- 2
Written recommendations
You receive written education or treatment recommendations. Recommendations are individualized and are not decided in advance.
- 3
Complete education or treatment
You complete the recommended education or treatment with an appropriate provider. Progress documentation is shared through the secure portal.
- 4
Follow-up evaluation
A follow-up appointment reviews whether the recommendations have been completed and what documentation is available.
- 5
Return-to-Duty testing
Where applicable, Return-to-Duty testing is arranged through your employer's testing process. Testing is not performed by this practice.
- 6
Follow-up testing plan
A written follow-up testing plan is prepared and provided to the designated employer representative in accordance with applicable requirements.
